Role of Social Media in Communication Crisis

Airplane crashes is becoming a serious issue lately in Nepal. The couple of crashes have resulted into number of deaths. In both the case, the aircrafts and the bodies were found soon enough. But if we try to remember the helicopter crash of June 2015, which was employed to supply the relief in Dolakha district, the chopper was missing for days.
Social media have recently been active in faster communication of news. Twitter and Facebook explode when something big as an accident occurs.  Before the development of social media, a realistic target was to issue a first “holding statement” within one hour of notification of an incident. So social media plays a greater role in this era during any communication crisis.

Here, I have attached a google form to collect data regarding the role of social media in communication crisis which will be helpful to know from the general public how any social media will be helpful in communication crisis. I have used the beam of the recent air-crashes for the data collection and also have tried to collect some recommendations regarding the mitigation of future-air-crashes in Nepal.
